For the last couple of months we’ve been making plans for the year ahead and now Spring has finally sprung the AFM Bear is coming out of hibernation.

It’s been a busy and exciting 3 years of monthly parties which hasn’t left us much time for anything else. So for the most part this year we are going to hole ourselves up in the studio and get cracking on some of the projects and tracks we’ve been meaning to finish for a while.

We will still be holding AFM nights with the first outing planned for May 2010 but instead of our regular Friday nights we’ll be holding one off events throughout the year. We’ll let you know when and where nearer the time.

We’d like to thank everyone for their continued support and smiley faces on the dance floor and look forward to sharing our late night studio endeavors with you soon.

To get you in the Xmas spirit we’ve got a very special lineup for our AFM Xmas party at the Horse & Groom.
First up we’re delighted to have special guest Patrice Bäumel on the decks for a rare appearance in London. Patrice is resident DJ at Trouw in Amsterdam and previously ran the highly successful 360 nights with partner Nuno dos Santos.. His sound pushes the boundaries of house and techno, always taking things a step further and higher, never standing still in one genre. His growing reputation has earned him DJ sets worldwide, from the infamous Panorama Bar in Berlin to Sao Paulo’s Lov.e club or Barcelona’s Sonar festival.

We’re also joined by guests Foolish Horse and AFM residents DJ Blush, jozif, Satisfying Noise & Zeska. And there will be guest VJ’s to add to the festive fun and guarantee a proper Xmas knees up.

Craig Richards joins us for our final AFM Sunday of the year.
As Craig, Jozif and Gordon take you on a musical journey through the genres and the decades you can kick back and relax with a drink or two and dance the afternoon away.

This month we open up both floors and will be transforming upstairs into a bazaar. There will be a range of stalls from up and coming London designers selling vintage clothing & accessories, bespoke hats and clothes and homemade cakes, sandwiches and sweet treats.

So get down early as it all kicks off at 2pm and it’s free!

Jasmine makes her debut for AFM on 4th September. Despite her short career to date, she has made an impact on the London scene playing at Pacha, Egg and Ministry of Sound. Her deep and melodic style of music has set her in good stead as a great warm up or after party gal behind the decks, but equally has been renowned for getting the dance floor pumping with her techy beats at more underground venues. She is a lover of vinyl - enjoying the true essence of the music and the skill that comes with turntable mixing, and has been good company for Simon Morell of DDD and Burnski of Poker Flat Records.
